Market Street Baptist Church
CORPORATE WORSHIP AT MSBC
TO: All Members & Attendees of MSBC
FROM: The Elders of MSBC
Hi Everyone,

It is truly a blessing to gather together every Sunday with our church family to sing and pray and reflect upon God’s love for us in Christ. We have been blessed to have a wonderful fellowship at Market Street Baptist Church and it is our earnest hope to maintain the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. It is with this in mind that we want to present a few reminders concerning the purpose and order of our worship together.
CORPORATE WORSHIP AT MSBC
Corporate worship is all for the glory of God and the good of His Church. As elders, we are convinced that it is our primary work to equip God's people for service and to maintain proper order so that our members can be ministered to in ways that build us all up in maturity and in unity in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is also the responsibility of elders to address and correct those things in public worship that are deceptive, divisive or distracting. In this day and age, earthly matters have become particularly distracting to what binds us together across national and political lines: the glory of God and the truth of the Gospel.

We remain committed to the participation of our members during worship and we want to give our congregation opportunities to encourage one another. We expect that all who sing, speak, read or pray during the service will do so in ways that are true, thoughtful and beneficial to the overall faith and unity of our church.

Therefore, going forward, those who wish to speak a word to the congregation during the service must first speak to the pastor or one of the elders before the service begins to ensure that what is spoken will be appropriate and helpful to our congregation and honoring to God.
Please don’t hesitate to let us know if you any questions or concerns.
God bless,
The Elders of MSBC
